Gerald's boarding school is holding a scavenger hunt this term that features ten mile hikes with wonky compasses and deliberately inaccurate maps. However, Sir Mason Green has hijacked the scavenger hunt to force Gerald and his friends to track down a long lost perpetual motion machine.
