Sasha Sweet has a big favor to ask of her ex-boyfriend/hot rock star Nate Munro. Sasha is a teacher and she is working with a group of kids called "No Limits" (a mixed ability choir group) at Chesterton High School. The kids reached the finals of a national contest but they can't afford the fares up to Manchester, the hotel costs, costumes, etc. She figures, with Nate's popularity and his media pull he can help. Nate eventually agrees and he goes to the school to meet the kids, even though he hates going back to Chesterton High. It brings back bad memories.

Ten years ago Nate and Sasha were an item. They both went to Chesterton High School. But Nate was expelled from the school. Nate beat up a student (Craig) and put him in the Intensive Care Unit after Craig bullied his special-needs brother. Nate then lost the respect of the school, his girlfriend Sasha...

Nate now lives in Malibu. He left London and Chesterton behind and made it big as a popular rock star. But now that he is back in London for a concert he realizes how much he misses that city. He also finds he is still attracted to his ex-girlfriend Sasha.

I didn't really care for Nate. He came across as conceited and full of himself. He dwelled on his appeal to women. I thought he could have treated Sasha better. Especially when he left her again towards the end of the book.

I did like Sasha. She had some pain in her past. Her father committed suicide. She was kind and sweet.

I usually enjoy stories with musicians and rock stars but this was just an OK read. ( )

Sasha has an obligation to her students. She’s the chorus teacher to a group of special needs kids and they want nothing more to be able to go to a competition in Manchester.But like everything that happens in their impoverished district – it’s a challenge that Sasha hasn’t been able to rise to yet.
