Running from the nightmare of her past, Scarlett was glad to know she got accepted to college. It was her ticket to freedom, but the nightmares continued whether she was in class, studying, or sleeping they continued to haunt her. Her best friend Andy continued to worry about her and smothered her that every time she turned around there he was. She went to her apartment she shared with Maggie and all she wanted to do was crash and chill out, but Maggie had other plans for her and convinced her to go to a concert instead....

Tripp, lead singer and guitarist for DownCrash had a dark past that he couldn't shake and so he drank more than he should, but the chicks all loved him and he scored when he wanted to. Once he saw her coming to his show and the stupid drunk with his hand on her shoulder, he could hardly maintain control. Odd for him as he didn't know her but sensed they were kindred spirits. As he got to know Scarlett, he saw she had a string bean always at her side to protect her with his desire a dead giveaway. Yeah sure, well if that's what Scarlett wanted, he was a bad boy rockstar and there was no end to women that wanted him............. ( )

Novella in Feel Leaves Reader Wanting More

Everyone has a pain they are secreting. Or, as House would say, everyone lies. This quick read introduces us to Scarlett and Tripp -- college kids in Ohio, quickly attracted to one another physically and a little less quickly connecting to each other emotionally. The reveal of the secrets keeps the reader moving forward -- the sex scenes help, too.

This is a very fast, easy read with the story taking place in the span of less than a week. One could over think this book and focus on the philosophical aspects, or one could just enjoy the new adult, college mentality, new romance with steaminess.

I look forward to reading Tatum and Maggie's story next. Then, I assume, we will read Logan's story in the third book. ( )
