This was totally my kind of book! In short, Mitch & Livie are college sweethearts. Mitch ends up breaking it off and crushing her heart. It's six years later and, they are reunited at their best friends' wedding. The old feelings come rushing back...the rest is history as they say. Most of the book is about them rekindling their romance with a secret in the mix. Nice romantic/sexy parts too. ( ) HOO WEE!! I LOVED THIS BOOK AND HOPE DRAKE WILL HAVE HIS OWN HEA!! My heart broke when Mitch broke up with Olivia saying he wasn't ready to commit and six months later, he told her that he and Joanna were getting married as she was pregnant by his brother. Oliva was hurt badly as she discovered after Mitch left that she was pregnant too and she had vowed to let him go because she loved him and wanted him to be happy. They they lived 400 miles from each other. That had been six long years ago, she told her best friend that she would drive Mitch to the hotel as he was Wes's best man that she could get through the next three days when he had to get back to his ranch. I never understood how one brother could marry the dead brother's fiancée and she sounded like a witch! Mitch was dealing with his brother's death, losing the only woman that he had ever loved, and Johanna miscarriage, now, they both were single again and he vowed to never let Olivia go again! I really wanted to like it. But....my main problem with this one, is that the H was being such a self possessed prick that I had real trouble getting beyond it. He did sorta redeem himself in the end, but not nearly enough apologizing or expressing his assholery. I woulda kicked him to the curb and left him there. The benefit of making mistakes is the lessons we learn from them, but this couple was a hot mess. Olivia, allowed a broken heart to cloud her judgment. While Mitch allowed grief to almost ruin his life. Each was too busy playing the blame game that they allowed outside machinations to ruin a chance at happiness. Joanna was a spiteful, manipulative, heartless human being. Her sense of entitlement broke hearts and ruined the lives of more than just herself. To use a child to further her agenda, sealed her fate in my eyes. Texas Two Step steams up the bookshelf with the love - hate relationship, Ms. D'Alba created. Texas Two Step by Cynthia D’Alba Secret baby. Hot and steamy reconciliation. First in the Texas Montgomery Mavericks series. I don’t like when characters lie to each other or themselves even if it’s to protect from being hurt. Or if they take gossip or vindictive exes as gospel. Talk to each other! In the end they worked through the anger and emotions after plenty of time together to benefit the family. But it was lots of ups and downs in this book. The saving piece was little Adam. His stomping boots and mimicking habits were adorable. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML: Their love never died, but her secrets could break his trust beyond repair. Texas Montgomery Mavericks, Book 1 After six years and too much self-recrimination, rancher Mitch Landry is ready to admit he was wrong. He'd loved Olivia Montgomery but commitment wasn't high on his list back then. That was his first mistake. He's just divorced his second, and he's set to do whatever it takes to convince Olivia to give him another try. Through hard work, determination and more than a few tears, Olivia survived the break-up with Mitch. She's rebuilt her life around her business and the son she loves more than life itself. She's not proud of the mistakes she's madeâ??particularly the secrets she's keptâ??but when life hands you manure, you use it to make something better of yourself...lest you get stuck in it. At a hot, muggy Dallas wedding, they reconnect. Olivia's first instinct is to play it cool, but after one devastating kiss things flare real out of control, real fast. Maybe a quick roll in the hay will get him out of her system once and for all. Funny thing about hay though, once it's tangled in your hair, getting it out risks revealing things that were never meant to see the light of day. Warning: Contains hot sex, a vindictive ex-wife, and hot chocolate chip cookies Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
