Despite the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, FBI Agent Drake and his Army officer partner Tim keep their relationship under wraps for the sake of Tim's career. Though they'd rather be open about their relationship, the sex and friendship make up for having to hide. Short and hot, this story proves that having to spend Christmas apart from your families doesn't necessarily have to be a complete disaster. At least not if you're as in love and as creative about finding different ways of passing the time as Tim, the closeted Army officer even after DADT, and Drake, the FBI agent.

Tim may not be comfortable revealing his sexuality in public, fearing reprisals even though officially DADT is gone at the time this story is set, but he certainly has no such issues in private. He is a very passionate lover, and even though he doesn’t like the cold of the apartment when the heating breaks down, it doesn’t stop him from showing Drake an extremely good time.

Drake left the Army a while ago and works in a slightly less difficult environment, but he understands Tim's reluctance of sharing PDAs in public. He is also there for his lover when he has a flashback. Having fun with Tim is high on his list of priorities, and not being able to spend time with their only remaining family (due to a snow storm) is reason to celebrate as far as he is concerned.

If you like short stories about men who like to 'play', and if a snow storm seems like a good excuse to hide from the world to you, you may like this story.

This is more about Drake and Tim getting off and staying warm then a story. I would like to have seen a bit more plot development maybe including the neighbors. Maybe they could come back and fill in the rest of the story. ( )
