Tony Evans has a no-nonsense, to-the-point style to his writing. There is almost no “fluff”, which is a plus. It is not just a bunch of dry facts either. He sprinkles appropriate stories here and there to illustrate his points. He also includes plenty of scriptures to back up his points. But the scriptures are not merely tacked on, instead he is extrapolating the principles from the scriptures.

It’s a short read, only about 100 pages and the topics flow well together. Topics he includes are: stewardship, rewards, laziness, tithing, envy, sowing and reaping, debt, saving, and budgeting.

This author takes a middle of the road stance between a prosperity gospel and a poverty mindset. Overall I found it easy to read and sound in principle.

This book would be helpful to all Christians at least as a refresher course on how to steward and manage your money. If you are struggling in this area it will be especially helpful.
