This book works for the soon-to-retire and the already-retired single woman. Heck, it has good stuff for couples, men, and all others eligible for retirement at some point in the next decade. The author, a former community college biology instructor, repeats many of what we have already read, enhancing the information from a scientific and from a single woman perspective. Single women have special retirement needs and wants, and the author attempts to cover all the bases. Beyond finances, she includes what to do with that 168 hours per week of free time, where to live, health, relationships, and community. Brief bios from retired and soon-to-be-retired single women give insights into possible scenarios. Specific information is provided to members of the LGBT community, who also have special needs - with a focus on single lesbian women. At the end of each chapter is a bibliography with URLs for helpful websites, and books and other resources. Checklists and "tests" are included at the end of each chapter to help the reader determine her preferences and capabilities. This is a book that teaches responsibility and shows reality, without scaring the reader. Well done! ( ) aucune critique | ajouter une critique
