It specifically goes into all about the covenants and dispensations, Christ’s parables and Christ’s miracles. If you have a specific interest in or are studying those particular subjects this would be a great reference book to have.
Speaking of reference—this book seems best suited as a reference book, as opposed to a read-through book. If this was meant as a read-through book it is sorely lacking as it has no personal stories and was not written in a friendly conversational style. I also found it dry and boring trying to read it as a read-through kind of book. If this book was meant as a reference book, it is well-suited for that. As I mentioned, it is very scholarly and has a long bibliography. The author quotes other Christian scholars copiously, some of them quoted being, Dr. Herbert Lockyer, Dr. John Gill, Dr. Lewis Sperry Chafin, De. Merrill Unger, C. I. Scofield, and William Hendriksen. One thing was sorely lacking for a reference type of book and that is an index. No index. The detailed table of contents somewhat made up that lack however.
To sum up, if you like theology, scholarly works, reference works and enjoy those authors that this author quotes then you will love this book. If you prefer conversational story-telling read-through type of books you will not enjoy this book at all.
