In today's evangelical landscape, a person can be a homosexual Christian, an untenable position from a Scriptural vantage point. This booklet exposes the homosexual hermeneutic and ultimately debunks its flaws. Welch also touches on the nature of sin and necessity of a Savior and closes with a helpful path forward. ( ) Clear and direct. I find the author's insistence on keeping God and His Word as primary most refreshing -- he points out that, if this is done, it does not matter if science determines a biological cause for homosexuality (it has thus far failed to do s0) or if psychology continues to trumpet psychological factors: sinful actions and beliefs come from the heart and mind and can thus action can be chosen or not. -- How the church can assist homosexuals could perhaps have been fleshed out in greater detail. Still, a helpful and powerful booklet, worth reading and sharing. |
