Prim and proper middle school teacher Isabel Montenegro always runs the opposite direction from men like Ramon Romero. A foul-mouthed, uneducated, loose cannon has no place in her careful plans. But instead of running away, Isabel is completely captivated. The intensity of his nature, while a bit daunting, mesmerizes her in ways she can't begin to understand. She's unwilling to walk away-even when her instincts are screaming at her to run. Romero has no idea what he's getting himself into when he first kisses Isabel. Shocked at the passion she invokes in him, he believes he can keep his usual short fuse under wraps. Falling fast and hard for someone so flawlessly sweet only makes him more aware that he's far from perfect. If she is ever witness to his biggest imperfection, he's sure she'll bail. But when her meddling sister does the worst thing imaginable-bring other men between him and his Izzy-that fuse is lit and all bets are off.… (plus d'informations)

I love Romero!!! This was the best in the series yet and am really looking forward to reading about Sal. I honestly didn't think I would like this book all that much because Romero did not impress me in Forever Mine. Reading Always Been Mine piqued my curiosity and i'm glad it did! Romero is definitely the most improved man of the series and he is just as sweet and loyal as Angel. Sorry Eric but Romero outranks you in every way :). So sweet and adorable, I wish it didn't end. Izzy is cute too and her personality is awesome. Every character feels so real and you either love em or hate em. Romero's family had me laughing while Izzy's family had me feeling like I was related to the Morenos with their hot blood and short fuse. A must read for any fans of the Moreno brothers or if you're looking for a good romance. Yo quiero some Romero! (to be grammatically correct: quiero un poco de Romero...but the other way rhymes better!) ( )

Romero is a bad boy.. a player. He has a messed up family.. no parents.. just two crazy uncles.. but they love each other.. and he wouldn't trade them for the world. He's never understood what happens to men like the Moreno brother.. they meet a woman and everything changes. Romero has yet to experience anything like that.. until Izzy. Isabel changes Romero's world the instant his eyes land on her. Isabel has a tough family.. always pushing her, always expecting more than she can give.. honestly their just down right exhausting. Isabel has never experienced the kind of love people sing and write about. Every relationship she's ever had has been either boring or just work.. until she meets Romero.. he's not like anything she would normally go after but something about him makes her continue to see him until she realizes.. she's fallen for him. Romero is a hot head.. he's never been to college.. Izzy's family will never except him.. fortunately Izzy doesn't care anymore.. all she cares about is Romero.. until things start to go south.. and small bumps start looking like mountains.

"He had to restrain himself from going for her hand, an urge he's never felt before." -Romero

"'What's that scent? It's driving me nuts.' 'You don't like it?' she asked, smelling her sweater. 'That's not what I meant by driving me nuts,' he laughed, changing gears. 'I can barely concentrate. You smell so good.'"

"At one point her body was up against hers and her hair brushed against his chin. He pulled a few strands of it away from her face and she looked up at him. One look at her lips and he was done. He leaned in and kissed her, softly at first, not sure what to expect, but she parted her lips and he went for it, kissing her deep. -Romero

"... they both had a free hand, he took hers in his. The entire time, all he could think about was kissing her again." -Romero

"She was a good enough kisser but it was more about her taste, her mouth. Her. With every kiss, gentle as it may be his body wanted more." -Romero

"Isabel brought her hand up to his hard chest, as if to bring the moment to an end, but when her eyes met his, she moved her hand further up around his neck and he kissed her again, pushing her gently against the car. His tongue was like magic and feeling his big hard body against her worked her into a frenzy. Insanity. How could a kiss make her so crazy?" -Isabel

"Before she could protest, his lips were on hers and she gave in to his kiss completely." -Isabel

"You're so beautiful," he whispered."

"There was no other word to describe Isabel, except maybe adorable with all her different expressions. Right now, right here, so close to making her his, she was blushing in his hands, utterly beautiful." -Romero

"'Izzy,' he whispered in her ear.
'Umm?'
'I want you baby'
'I want you too,' she said immediately." -Romero & Isabel

"From day one, he'd though of having her beneath him like this.. owning her, even if it was only a few hours. Now, he wanted more." -Romero

"He'd come to love kissing her, something he couldn't stand going a day without." -Romero

"Nothing had ever felt so perfect. SHE was perfect." -Romero

"I know what I want. I want this. To be with you and only you." -Romero

"'Goodnight Izzy.. dream of us.' She smiled, her heart completely taken. 'Always'" -Romero & Isabel

"She didn't even realize how hard she'd fallen, until the possibility of losing him hit her." -Isabel

'I think I love you,' she whispered. 'You think?' she was suddenly choked up. 'is it too soon?' He sat up, putting his hands around her face, 'You love me?' His expression looked almost frantic. Had she scared him that much? She stared at him, afraid to answer. 'I freaking love you, Izzy. I've been so scared to freak you out, but I do.'" -Isabel & Romero

"... you're the one." -Romero

"He leaned in, kissed her once then stopped to stare into her eyes. 'Izzy' "What?' 'You're perfect.' Isabel laughed. 'I am not.' 'Yes you are.'"

"... he walked over to Isabel and pulled her to him by the waist, kissing her like only he could. 'My perfect, Izzy,' he whispered.

"No one else will ever love you like I do, Izzy."
"Only you can love me like this." -Romero & Isabel

"He'd never felt the kind of love he felt for Izzy, but he didn't just love her. He NEEDED her." -Romero

“He didn’t say a word and she didn’t ask anything else, just ran her fingers through his hair until his breathing began to calm. Without letting go of her or even pulling away to face her he finally whispered against her ear, “Please don’t leave me. I promise I’ll try harder.” Slowly he pulled away and their eyes met. “I’m nothing without you, Izzy.”

"After this week he knew, without a doubt, there was no way his life would ever be complete without her." -Romero

"No, if they won't accept you, then they lose me too." -Isabel

"'And what are you asking for?'
'The only thing I can't live without. YOU.'" -Romero & Isabel

"You're broken without her." Manny

"I really am broken without you. Promise you'll never leave me, Izzy."
"I'm broken without you too. I promise. I love you." -Romero & Isabel ( )
