Traditional Literature - Tall Tale Paul Bunyan is about a lumberjack who has the strength that is out of this world. Paul grows up to fight off creatures and to be an amazing lumberjack who helps so many people that he becomes legend. I thought that this book taught a good lesson about being selfless and putting others needs before your own. This would be a good book to have in an elementary classroom for boys who could relate more to Paul than other selfless book characters. I remember reading and learning about Paul Bunyan while in grade school and I wanted a good book for my collection about him. Paul was born in Main but then they moved to the wilderness. He loved playing outside with his animal friends. Paul found an ox in the woods and they were close friends. Paul decided to go west with his ox and some lumberjacks. He defended some creatures in a cave and at night his team would go up with ballons and down in parachutes. They ate pancakes each day and he dug out a lake so they may get Vermont syrup. Then a blizzard that lasted for years came and after it was done the lumberjacks had a festival. With his ax, he made the Grand Canyon. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
