It's really boring and the characters are completely unlikable. With as many as there are you'd think there would be a few that I could gravitate to, but I really can't stand any of them. Michael is okay, but he's got to be the dumbest smart kid that there ever was. Another thing is that for a GIGANTIC book I think it is written for preteens because the writing is too young for my reading level. We'll see if I can get through it. I really want to because I bought it and put it on my list for a book club challenge :( This book sucked me in almost immediately. The character development was fantastic, and the suspense, mystery, and depth were just as good. The different points of view throughout the book as well as the italicized thoughts added to it's depth. It was hard to put down! I was, without giving away any part of the story, a bit disappointed with the ending. In my opinion, it was a bit rushed and slightly predictable. Overall this is a great YA and one that I will share with my friends and family. This book is packed with a lot of mystery, drama, and suspense. I get so caught up with the charters and each one of them tells their side. I am in love with this book because there is so much going on. At first the main character switches schools and she meets this boy that she finds out she loves. But she doesn’t have enough courage to tell him and they go on dates but there’s a different guy that she’s dating. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

At the start of the school year, the popular girls throw a party, but things go wrong when one of their classmates is found dead. The death is declared a suicide, but nothing quite adds up. Convinced there's a murderer on the loose, no one knows who can be trusted. Nowhere is safe, not the homecoming dance, not even graduation. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Not much happens in this book and it's clearly a set up for the two sequels. There are a lot of characters and it took a while to get them all straight in my head. The plot is pretty tame for a Christopher Pike book, but I never felt like it was a slog to read. Hopefully the next two will be more exciting.
The Dance-3 stars
So far these books really feel like they were written as one book, and then split up. This one was slightly more enjoyable than the first. I’m just disappointed that the story so far has been kinda tame and average.
The Graduation-3 stars
Does everything that a final book in a series should do. It wraps up all the loose ends and the reveal was something that was heavily hinted at throughout the series, but not super obvious. Just like, "Oh, I think this is what's happening, but not sure of all the details." I just felt that Pike's signature snark was missing from this trilogy, so it felt almost lifeless to me.
The trilogy feels like it was written as one book and then split. The first book is slow and all the action happens in the last chapter.
The second book is a bit more interesting, but not by much.
The final book resolves the mystery and bits and pieces of Pike's classic writing style shine through.
Overall, this is an average trilogy that I probably wouldn't have read past the first book if it wasn't Christopher Pike. ( )
