This book helps a parent to understand "HOW" they love their kids. We all have our unique ways of parenting, and this book definitely helps point out the pros and cons of each type of style. To read more about my review go to http://www.tidbitsofexperience.com . ( ) NCLA Review -When planning for the time a child is ready to leave the nest, the goal of that child’s parents should be to have instilled in them the ability to relate to God as comfortably as any child would to a loving parent. That is the best gift a child could ever receive from their parents. If you are not doing that as a parent then this book is for you! How We Love Our Kids is written in four parts which are as follows: Helping Yourself as a Parent, Helping Your Child, Unique Children and The Healing Journey for Parents and Children. The chapters then break the five love styles of parenting (Avoider, Pleaser, Vacillator, Controller, and Victim) into the children’s age groups to help you as a parent better relate to the specific situation. Parenting at best can be very difficult but at the same time very rewarding when you have the right tools. Included at the end of the book is a Parent's Toolbox to help you to put your newly acquired knowledge into action. This is a must read for parents of all ages.
