In this story there a two boys called the Baxter brothers who are bullies. Two friends Angie and Justin are very afraid of the twins. However, when they find out the bullies are going to try and kill a fox they decide it time to stop them. They end up helping a hurt fox and putting it in the stable of an old haunted house. Angie and Justin make plans to move the fox when there are interrupted by the Baxter brothers. Will they be able to get the fox to freedom?
I think this is a great story about how to stand up to a bully. I think many kids need to read this story.
I would us this story with second through fifth graders to discuss bullies. I would ask the students to tell me what a bully is like before they read the story. I would ask them to think of ways to stand up to a bully. We will make a list as a class. (
