Excellent book. This really fills in a lot of the gaps in the storyline in the Cataclysm expansion and explains the death of at least one major character. An event which was never really mentioned in-game, sadly. ( )

while i enjoyed the lore aspect of this book, and the dragon portion.. i was really not impressed with the massive amount of thrall emo i had to read though. yes i know this book is ABOUT thrall, and his struggles with what is happening to azeroth, but i just honestly wish he'd been written less as a whiny baby. ( )

Golden always gives good value. Twilight of the Aspects is a little emo for my taste on the whole, but it's a solid story with a genuinely shocking reveal at the end. (Shocking to me, at least, since I haven't been playing in... huh, over a year.) It's not fine literature, but it's quite readable. ( )

2.5 stars. I knew what I was getting into when I picked up this book and I wasn't not expecting high literature, but the plot was just a mess. Granted, being a tie-in novel I realize it has to conform with Blizzard's ever increasingly complicated lore, but the writing was also disappointing. Christie Golden is usually hit or miss for me, and I enjoyed her writing in her last WoW book, The Shattering, a lot more. ( )
