There may be more, but I got so into the story I didn't notice them. I enjoyed it that much. Yes, there were areas that could have been better. A bit more depth into the bad guy, world build and character build would have been great. There was a huge amount of action. What we got of the main characters was satisfying. The intimate scenes were hot, steamy and well written. The ending was On Fire intense. I will definitely be following this series! The suspense kept me completely involved. I loved it. I really enjoyed this. This was an easy read with a fun plot, amusing characters and fairly low angst. Morgan was hilarious. I loved her snarky commentary and her badass fighting skills. Jace was endearing with his hidden crush on Morgan. The fated mate trope wasn't explicitly stated but I felt like it existed which made the romance easier to accept. Because the romance between Morgan and Jace was fiery but very instalove. But then it's kind of expected in these sorts of romances. So the romance was a little bit thin development wise but it was enjoyable - very electric.
A well written paranormal romance with likeable characters and a decent plot. 3.5 stars, rounded to 4 stars. (
