well, I really liked the plot, their friendship and history and the emotions between them. the execution was alright, too, I guess, so I feel bad for saying that there were a few times when I caught myself zoning out while reading this; tuning out some fragments of dialogue or narration. one moment I was able to get into it, the next I was checking out. it always pisses me off when I do that, because books are supposed to be read properly or not at all.
next, writing. my inner grammar nazi was hurting from all the crazy commas from hell that kept popping up in random places they definitely didn't belong. not fun.

last, but not least, the sex. it didn't make me the slightest bit hot or bothered, which is never a good sign (when reading porn, mind you). then again, I'm not sure that's saying much coming from an oversexed deviant that is yours truly. I think that most people would find it enjoyable - I've read better, but I've certainly read worse.
will something break this streak of lukewarm 3 star reads? I really hope so, because soon it's going to turn me into a bitch. ( )

This was a great story about a pair of best friends who get separated by moving parents, and then reunited years later. After they get reunited, straight Cooper starts to have unexpected feelings for the out Noah. I really enjoyed this and can't wait to read the sequel! ( )

Okay, so I'll admit, I'm a real sucker for a good GFY. So it's no surprise that this one really struck a chord with me.

Noah and Cooper are childhood friends who get separated when Noah's parents pack up and move on suddenly. When these two guys meet up again things become interesting, fast.

The characters are very well rounded. The relationship that builds between them also feels very real and true. And while there is a definite slow-burn to it all, the sex is hot!

While this might not be an "original" concept, it is very well executed. Mind you, what is truly "original" in fiction? This is a fantastic start to a new series and I can't wait for the next book to come out. ( )
