This is an interesting topic, but there's not as much narrative or evidence as I would like for the author's conclusions. The difficulty, stems from the preliterate state of Arab literature prior to Mohammad. The writer does work the three incidents we have evidence for very closely. So, an interesting book, and we look forward to more stuff once the author gets more research grants, and time. ( )
