In the summer of 1860, Prince Edward Island is astir. Its citizens eagerly anticipate the arrival of the first member of the British royal family to visit the island. Molly Orland is too poor to be invited to the ball, but she and several other local young women are thrilled when they're hired as extra staff at the lieutenant governor's house, where the young Prince of Wales will be a guest. Peter Stark has arrived a few days in advance of the royal party to make sure arrangements are suitable for the prince. He is attracted to the beauty of the island--and to a young local girl named Molly, whom he's determined to shield from the notorious antics of the playboy prince. When Peter and Molly discover a long-buried secret that could bring shame to his royal employer, will he remain a loyal servant--or help Molly's family get the justice they deserve?… (plus d'informations)

I really enjoyed reading this book! The setting of Prince Edward Island is serene and picturesque!

The characters are fabulous! I love their personalities! Susan has a real gift for writing characters that are easy to like! Molly is my absolute favorite! She's humble, a hard worker, and lovely on the inside and out! Peter is hunkaliscious! New word that I made up! He's also humble, a true servant, and loyal.

The love story is sweet! There is a bit of a mystery, and I liked how it played out.
A definite must read! ( )

I enjoyed the book, though I found it a little hard to get really into it. It ended up being a sweet love story, but I felt a little of the drama towards the end was unnecessary. I love the Love Find You series. I hope to one day read them all. ( )

Loved the island and a little bit of history that was behind this story. Would love to visit this place some day. It is the summer of 1860 on Prince Edward Island and everyone is excited about a visit from a member of the British royal family, the young Prince of Wales. Molly Orland gets hired on as a local young women to be extra staff in the house where the Prince of Wales will be a guest. There she meets Peter Stark, the understeward for a gentleman in the royal party, and where love will be found on Prince Edward Island.

There will be secrets to discover, a loyalty and love that will be finally understood and justice that we could only hope for. Through it all Molly and Peter will find themselves drawn to one another in a very special and endearing way.

Although the story only deals with about 4 days in the life of these characters, the love that develops in that amount of time is very real and believable. There is a lot of history though that comes to light during the end of the story that took me a little by surprise, which is always enjoyable for me. A story well done by Susan Page Davis. ( )

The back door to the kitchen burst open. Molly Orland nearly dropped the wooden spoon she held.
"Mum!" Her brother Nathan loomed in the doorway, panting.
"What is it?" Their mother turned from her worktable and stepped toward him, fear leaping into her eyes.
    "Papa's hurt."
    "No! What happened?"
"He fell off the wagon. Thinks his leg is broken."
