This non-fiction is a travelogue of spooky or just unusual stops all over New England. The author tells you about how much Stephen King related stuff to expect in Bangor, Maine, and visits a grave that supposedly glows in Portsmouth, NH. He visits the shooting locations for many horror movies all over New England, the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, ME and hunts down the few reminders of Poe around Boston.
Though Ocker is serious about hunting down oddities, he isn't the "ghost hunters" type at all. Humor lightens the entries and often, when it seems so obvious that he can't help but say something, he debunks the myths that have grown around a "haunted" object. ( )
