Pleasantly surprised by this book! I’m reading or re-reading my Tasha Tudor books before my first meeting as the chapter leader of a Tasha Tudor Society chapter.

Of course the illustrations are lovely, that’s just a given. But the alphabetical rhyme was fun and the rhyme for X is my favorite! ( )

Yes it's lovely. And it probably would have been my favorite when I was a little girl. But still - I can't give it more than three stars - it really would only appeal to folks who love dolls. And, to be frank, I'm 'consumed with envy' and so I did not much enjoy the book. ( )

A is for Annabelle is an alphabet book that tells a story about a doll named Annabelle. Two little girls are playing with their grandmothers doll, and each letter represents a different aspect of the doll. B is for her box, C is for her cloak, D is for her dresses, and E is for her earrings and so on. This book can help children who are just learning about the alphabet. This shows them that you can use the alphabet to describe anything. I think this book would be useful for children who enjoy playing with dolls because they can see how many different things a doll can do. As an activity, each student could make their own alphabet book about their favorite toy. ( )

This was my favorite book when I was little. I have always loved the watercolor flowers that adorn each page. I highly recommend it for any little girl. The kind that likes to wear dresses with large bows. ( )
