I was expecting more of a story so I was really disappointed with this effort. I suppose if you like looking at kitten pictures and clever quips then you might enjoy this very short novella. There was an excerpt of another book by this author titled "What Ho, Automaton!" included in this download and that book is MUCH more to my liking. A steampunk, Sherlock/Jeeves/Wooster type setting. And I just want you to write something and see what kind of reviews you get. I also don't understand how so many reviewers said it was a really good book and then give it three stars. What do you have to do to give it five? Be a Pulitzer Prize winner?
Try thinking of this cute little read in context the next time you write a review about something in this vein. It wasn't going for Novel of the Year so cut Mr. Dolley some slack please!!! (
