Whatever the case, spunky Suee Lee’s strange travails and the ways she deals with them make for delightful—and deliciously eerie in the Neil Gaiman (Coraline) vein—reading for young audiences, manga aficionados, and graphic novel lovers of any age. PART 2: It’s 12-year-old Suee's first week at her weird new school, and she’s already become the captain of a secret club: the ‘Zero Detective Club’. They’re investigating what exactly is turning students into ‘Zeroes’ – strange, hollow-eyed kids who act almost as if they’re missing something. But if Suee really wants to get to the bottom of the mystery, perhaps she should ask her shadow; after all, it’s never been more talkative.
