Each year, the Association for Asian American Studies (AAAS) recognizes authors of scholarly and creative books that make significant contributions to the field of Asian American Studies. Our field thrives on deep research, moving stories and language, rigorous theory and methodologies, and critical questioning of culture and society. The nomination period is a time to recognize the remarkable work being done in the field, while the awards draw attention to outstanding research and/or imaginative creation.

  • As of 2023, Winners are labeled "Outstanding Achievement"; I have left it at Winner to indicate similarity to previous years.
