I plan to re-read this book. I loved it when I first read it and I have held on to it for nearly 20 years now. I can't wait to have my children read it -- I hope it helps shape their actions toward themselves and others.

It emphasizes bone-building, which is one of the primary reasons I exercise. I looked it over and it seemed like the exercises were much easier than what I had been doing, but I decided to give them a try. I modified them to make the workout a little harder, and I could really feel it. It seemed like I was working the same muscles I usually do, but when I was done I could feel that I had been working out, so I figure it's working the muscles a little differently. The book seems good -though my gut is not busted. Not sure if the problem lies with me or with the book. The book offers a realistic approach to exercise that is not complicated and is accessible to almost anyone - requiring little or no special equipment.
