Cassian was one of the pioneers in bringing the eremetical and monastic practices developed by the eastern Desert Fathers to the western regions of the late Roman Empire.

Very specific category that appeals to very few of my friends but I liked it. The content dealt with the battle of virtues and vices fromt eh perspective of monks, a subject I am interested in from a source I trust. AHS/RM
