I'm not going any further...I can see the handwriting on the wall (so to speak). Dark stories aren't my thing but I do like Mob stories. I don't really enjoy reading about the main characters being hurt/tortured. It took forever for Tor and Jude to hook up and share feelings with each other. Just a bit slow paced I think. I really don't like feeling this all could have been wrapped up in one (better) story.

I really enjoyed the fact that despite this being teenage romance they didn't feel like teenagers. Interesting characters, life decisions, and relationships. I would have ranked this higher if the last 20% didn't feel so rushed. Especially the last chapter and epilogue.

This was one of those books that I enjoyed the premise but found part of the story itself lacking. I was wanting more of a buildup with the characters before they were in love. Even though I struggled at parts of the story, it did intrigue me enough to keep reading so in that case the authors did their jobs.

I am curious to see where Jude and Victoria go next in the next book.
