The written portion is colorfully worded though your normal touristy content. Photos are as lovely as other books and post cards at the visitor center. However, I find when it comes to Bryce Canyon, I'm always seeing more or less the same images.

I’ve taken a grandson to Arches 4 times in the last few years. We have only visited and photographed a few spots, so bought this book to get pictures and an introduction to some of the other spots. The pair of books was well worth the $20.

In addition to pretty pictures it includes some useful history and information about the animals, physics of formation, and other life that survives in the desert environment.

"Seeing, really seeing, does take time." (Page 39)

"Grand canyon [has] 5 million annual international visitors [to the] south rim, ... (Page 53)

Great photos. Unremarkable text. Worth it, if like me you are not a good enough photographer to capture the magnificence of Zion.
