- Edwin F. Kalmus (b. Vienna, 15 Dec 1893; d. New York, 30 April 1989) was an music publisher. In 1926, he founded a publishing house in New York USA. The Kalmus company concentrated in publishing classical works that had entered the public domain and making them widely available in inexpensive educed size or miniature (mostly 5.25 by 7 inch) reprint editions. In 1976 the Kalmus company sold its study score, vocal, piano and chamber music titles to Belwin-Mills, though the original company remained independent and continues to publish orchestra, band, and chamber music from its new headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida.
