I appreciate the writer addressing how Leia is dealing with the loss of Alderaan, and the sacrifices she is willing to make for the good of the Rebel Alliance. She is a great leader and a true believer in her cause, but I'm not buying the idea that she is also an X-Wing pilot. She doesn't need to be, and having her work on X-Wings doesn't add anything to the character. Giving us a new take on Leia can be done in a different way, and is done successfully in this series in other aspects.
