Former spy and on the run, Charlie Muffin agrees to guard a valuable stamp collection on exhibit in Florida. Problem is, the FBI wants the collection stolen so they can nab the likely thief, a big-time mobster. As in any Charlie Muffin story there are double crosses, triple crosses and quadruple crosses. Please note-the series should be read in order (this is #4). Each adventure builds on and refers to previous adventures several times.… (plus d'informations)

Charlie is an embarrassing anachronism, a product of the cold war. But, despite Charlie's new boss, Charlie sets out to make things right when dealing with a possible defection of a KBG general.

IMHO, objectionably badly-written...

How did I miss this author?? Another winner by Brian Freemantle. This time, both the CIA and British Intelligence have to deal with a Charlie Muffin keen on revenge. The funny aspect of things present in the first volume is almost absent here. It gives the book a more serious tone, which makes the book very enjoyable.
