This is up and down, sometimes repetitive, sometimes a bit too adoring of the English empire and kings and queens in general for my liking, but also sometimes bitter about nationalism and ideology. The repetition and unevenness comes from this being a collection of dispatches from the front. If you don't know much about WW1 this may be confusing at times, as she is obviously addressing her contemporaries for whom these are recent happenngs. Nonetheless, it is fascinating to read the stories of a woman writer going where both women and journalists were generally not allowed. In the end I can't tell if she wants the US to enter the war or just to send food and socks, but there is a definite call to action here. ( ) aucune critique | ajouter une critique
