Sugar and Spice...not everyone's nice.

In the deliciously entertaining conclusion to the L.A. Candy series, New York Times bestselling author and star of the hit TV show The Hills Lauren Conrad pulls back the curtain on young Hollywood and shows that sometimes the real drama is behind the scenes.

Fresh from being betrayed by one of her closest friends, new reality-TV celebrity Jane Roberts has learned a few lessons. Most important: know who to trust. And in Hollywood, that list is short.

Although the press is intent on creating a tabloid war between her and ex-friend, current-costar Madison Parker, Jane just wants to take control of her life. She's started by swearing off guys and the drama that comes with them. But when her high school sweetheart Caleb and her unrequited L.A. crush Braden show up, both acting sweeter than ever, Jane has a hard timeremembering her no-boys rule....

Her best friend, Scarlett, has only one guy on her mind: her new boyfriend, Liam. The girl who once thought love was a four-letter word is now head over heels. The problem is, being on a hit reality show means hanging out with other guys on-camera, and Liam isn't too happy with pretending to play a bit part in her love life.

Just when everything feels out of control, Jane makes a shocking discoveryâ??one that changes everyone's definition of "reality" forever.… (plus d'informations)

My least favorite of the series. ( )

Jane and Scarlett are on a popular reality TV show. At first they loved going to the parities and getting some more cash. Trever the producer has started to control his characters.
Jane must decide if Braden (the guy she loves) or Caleb (an old boyfriend) is right for her. Scarlett is having problems with her boyfriend Liam, Naveen an old college friend is seen as her 'new boyfriend' on the show. What can dhe tell Liam to convince him she has no feelings for Naveen?
Madison is having tons of family issues. After an unexpected visit from her past, how will Scarlett mantain her perfect image?
A great final book to this series. I loved the storyline and the plot. ( )

Knowing that the characters would all go on after the ridiculous drama of their television lives made reading this book a lot more reassuring, because I could focus on how they would change their lives to get to the finale rather than focus on how they would survive the drama. Change is really the major theme of the series, as all of the girls have to grow up and start being more in control of their own lives so that they can be happy. In that sense the books can actually be rather motivational for young girls because it shows them that if they have goals and work hard they can get exactly what they want. Surprising, I know, considering that most analyses would peg the series as vapid and insubstantial, but if you look at something from the right perspective you can learn something new. ( )

Meh, the drama from the last book plays out and honestly it's kind of dull. Huge letdown. Then everything wraps up nicely. This book really doesn't read all that well, because it's kind of slow moving. I think I may just give up on reading Lauren Conrad's books. She should stick to style and fashion. ( )

F's reaction = perturbed.
H already there (push her call time 30 min earlier so she's on time).
J & H discuss expectations for night while doing a task (gift bags?)
Line from J: "What could go wrong?"
M enters through side door. (Make sure to have 1 camera on J.) H won't be expecting M b/c she's not working that night. (Earlier have M say she's going to be "out of town.")
J upset that M is there.
F asks J to seat M.
Possible beat later: Chef offers girls a sample of special hor d'oeuvres (oysters, scallops?). Jane refuses (doesn't eat shellfish). Chef's reaction = insulted.
