As usual, cute fluff. Emma and Eadric do begin to be a little more solid - I think they're both stupid several times in this book, but I can see why the persons they are might do those things (not just author fiat). I think her spell on Bradston was unwise, and is going to come back to bite her if she does admit to it (or even if she doesn't), but again, I can see why she did it. And a happy ever after (yeah, right) - for quite a few people. ( )

Just a bit too much of a focus on the serial adventure for my taste. This is the last book of the series, as far as I can tell, to focus on Emma and Eadric. I did like the banshee. Little bits like that set these books apart from the wannabees. The next is prequel, about Grassina & Chartreuse as teens. ( )

This book was one of my favorites. This is my favorite series. This series needs to be more popular, because it is amazing! This series got me into fairytales and Princess books. ( )

This book is the fourth installment of the Frog Princess Series. It starts with Princess Emeralda (Emma) who also happens to be the Green Witch, the most powerful witch in the kingdom of Greater Greensward. She is attacking vines that grew out of control when a butterfly comes up to her. She does a quick hearing spell te better understand the creature and it tells her that her grandmother, recently turned from the family curse, needs her to come decorate her gingerbread house in the withces retirement community. Emma goes with her mother and Eadric her bethrothed, that is if Emma can ever get Eadric's parent's blessing. They don't approve of Emma being a witch. The workers are right in the middle of repairing the frosting roof when another message comes for Emma. She needs to go to the swamp to meet her aunt and Haywood who are getting married. Emma's mother disapproves, she thinks it should be fancier and definetly not in a swamp. But Emma thinks it's sweet.

After this, Emma and Eadric plan to travel to Eadric's kingdom to get his parent's blessing. Before they can leave, though, Emma's mother catches her and makes her go with a full escort. After three days they make it to the castle only to be greeted by wailing and despair. Eadric's younger Bradston was kidnapped by trolls. Eadric goes to rescue him and Emma insists to go along. They camp near a stream and Emma is awoken by sounds of trolls. She hasn't undid her hearing spell for the butterfly messenger so she has very acute hearing. Emma uses her magic powers to wash away some trolls and scare off the rest. They travel to the trolls cave, meeting a banshee, and narrowly escaping death a number of times.

When Eadric and finally make it to the cave, they are surprised to find no guards. Not even outside the queen's chamber. All of the trolls were affected by troll pox a worse version of human chicken pox. They outsmart the queen and take away Bradston. Emma and Eadric have their wedding and are happily enjoying each other's company when the trolls attached. Emma, Eadric, and their wedding guests drive the trolls away. Emma finally convinces the troll queen to go away when they tell her their is another prince she can marry, Prince Jorge, a prince Emma rejected and battled away from her kingdom. So everything ends happily for the newly weds.

I liked this book. While it is a series for younger children, it was interesting and had traits that teen books carry. I liked the suspense and romance. Also the comedy. This book would be enjoyed by people of all ages young or old. I am looking forward to the next book. I also hope there will be another series. ( )

This book is the last in the Frog Princess series and it is based around Emma and Eadric getting married. There was a worry that magic would not be ok in Eadric's Kingdom because his mother dos not approve of it and Emma works hard to find a common ground in this new union. They end up needing to rescue Eadric's spoiled little brother from trolls and this adds more adventure to the story.

The book is ok, it gives good examples of compromise and accepting differences, which is a struggle in today's world with children and adults.

The students can really give their input on this story and how things could change. How they can accept the differences in others and they can name their differences.
