Too many fairies is a cute book about fairies who come to help an old woman who is complaining about housework. The problem is that the fairies do all the housework, the house is clean, and then they tear the house apart and do it all again. The old woman seeks advice from the locals and the local said that she must never complain again. She must call all the fairies out of the house lock the door mess up the house and clean it herself. The fairies want to help, but the woman refuses to let them in. She sits in her quiet house that she cleaned herself and never complained again!

There was an old lady who hated doing chores. One day while she was complaining about work, a fairy came into her home to do the dishes. The old lady began to do other chores but was still complaining so more fairies entered her home to do the chores; one for sweeping, one for making the bed, and one for the knitting. The fairies were very loud and began to drive the old lady crazy. She told the fairies to stop so they did just that AND the undid all the chores that they had completed so that they could do them all over again. She told them to leave but they would not go. The old lady visited a town elder who told her the only way to get rid of them was to complain no more so the old lady did just that and the fairies left.

A old women who constantly complains about housework, learns a lesson to stop complaining, when fairies drive her crazy doing her chores for her. This book teaches a good lesson to make a fuss about chores. My daughter loved illustrations of the little fairies! ( )

This book right here would be such an awesome read-aloud for lower elementary. I had such a great time reading this one and I think it would be a good lesson to teach children. ( )
