As always Dr. Suess is tongue twisting fun. This side project is allowing me to visit Seuss books I don’t remember, or maybe never read, and it has been such a joyride. This book is about what to do when you can't make up your mind. I am pretty sure, it doesn’t actually answer anything. But I could go for a hotdog or six. ( )

Summary: The boy in the story could not make up his mind about what to do during the day with his dog. He at first decided to go outside, but another hunch told him to do his homework inside. Different hunches kept giving him different ideas as to what to do, but he could never make up his mind.

Evaluation/Arguments: This was a very interesting book. I had never seen or even thought of hunches being used in this way. It was a very creative idea to use hunches as different hats that the main character wore throughout the text. Students will be able to relate to not knowing what to do during the day either. I remember never knowing what to do as a kid, but if I told my parents then they would have me do my chores. Some readers might become confused with these hunches being used as hats.
The central message of this story is that it is okay to not know what to do. You can do multiple things in every day. We will very often have different ideas about what to do and these ideas can change, just like the boy's hunches has. ( )

This is a cute story about a small boy who has plenty to do like homework. There are so many things that he could be doing but, he can not make up his mind. The Hunches come to help the boy make up his mind. Soon there are too many Hunches and he is forced to make his own mind up. ( )

Hilarious! I love Dr. Seuss's rhymes

A little boy is at home with nothing to do and he cant make his mind up. All his hunches come to life so he can decide what to do but this confused him more and more. He cant make his mind up still so he decides he needs more of him to make it up but this doesnt help either. Finally he decides to follow his munch hunch and eat lunch, this fixes everything.
