This collection had five different stories in it, four of them from more recent, and one from the earlier Black Widow files. Of the five I really liked the one with Storm and Black Widow teaming up to stop a sort of gang war, and the story with Black Widow and Ms. Marvel fighting robots (the story that I picked up the TPB for). Then there was the Wasp and Black Widow in Latveria, which was an okay story. Finally there were two stories. I didn't like as much. The Enchantress and Black Widow story was a bit too scattered and the retro Black Widow and Spidey story just seemed like bad and stilted writing. Overall it was an okay TPB though, with interesting Black Widow stories. Bizarre characterization of Natasha. Wasp and Storm were oddly frail and powerless, too. Enchantress was motivated solely by boredom? Really? Everyone was extremely flat and one dimensional, and the notion of Natasha being in the Red Room only ten years ago instead of 80 continues to break my brain. Some of the art was quite good, though, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1. eta: Hah, I totally forgot Carol Danvers was even IN this book until I looked back at the cover. I like Carol a lot, in general, but again there just wasn't much of HER on the page here as opposed to a generic female superhero. I don't think ANY of them really got a chance to play to their strengths and demonstrate their awesomeness. Stealing a Doombot isn't nearly as cool as dealing with Doom himself, you know. If Nat's the best, then we need to see her being the best, not merely bragging about it to people who could care less about her ego. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Not bad. I thought it was either a T & A title or sex and the city. Average, but enjoyable. ( )
