This was imaginative, crazy, fun, and even though it's a kids book, I Loved it. I nearly peed. Completely laugh-out-loud-totally-hee-haw-giggle-snort funny. My kids, 9, 12, and 13 loved it. ( )

Lots of fun silliness that will appeal to fans of writers like Dav Pilky and Jon Scieszka. ( )

Snicker. Just looking at this cover makes me giggle. This book was SO FUNNY!! You don't even have to be a bad horror movie aficionado (I'm not) to appreciate the hilarity.

Joules and Kevin are dumped off at summer camp so their scientist parents can pursue the ultimate SPAM dessert creation. Unfortunately, they're not the only ones stranded at Camp Whatsitooya. Terrible aliens have crashed on earth. Terrifying, horrible creatures. What? They look like rabbits? Yes, but 7 foot tall rabbits with hypnotic eyes and fangs! Can Kevin and Joules save the day? Can you really have too many lanyards? Is there an actual use for SPAM?

A brisk, tight plot accompanied by black and white comics and art and a joke on every page. What more could a reader want? This is a great book for any intermediate reader who likes funny stories, aliens, summer camp, or a quick read. Perfect summer reading! Get it now so you can lure children into your library with it!

Verdict: Laughed myself sick over it, read it out loud to another librarian who also laughed uncontrollably, and we both bought it for our libraries. Go thou and do likewise

"Attack of the Fluffy Bunnies" is a hilarious tale echoing the tradition of science fiction stories about what can happen if aliens attack Earth. FLUFFS - Fierce, Large, Ugly, Ferocious, Furballs were completely different from earth rabbits - FLUFFS come from the distant Mallow Galaxy, have no predators, and have come to earth to eat all the "sweet humans."

Joules and Kevin Rockman were excited to go to Camp Whatsittooya for the summer instead of going with their parents - a Chemist and a Physicist - for a SPAM cookoff and convention. Their trip to summer camp goes awry when the FLUFFS eat the camp counselors and are about to take over all the children of the camp - when Joules and Kevin deduce that the FLUFFS can be defeated with their mom's secret sauce made of SPAM juice as they noticed one of the FLUFFS human disguise melted when it touched Joules - Kevin figured that their DNA may have been strengthened by SPAM.

Although the plot of the story seems outrageous, it sends an effective lesson to children ages 9-12 about the powers of observation, being able to logically deduce to solve challenging problems, and most importantly being creative and quick thinking. ( )

The Fluff's breath smelled liked burned marshmallows. Burned marshmallows that have been stuck to a skunk's fur and left to mildew in a swamp for five months. It was not pleasant. It was worse than not pleasant. It was the kind of smell that had the power to make unicorns weep. Which, in case you didn't know is powerful!
