I did not like this book for several reasons, two being the plot and language. I found this book to be rather inappropriate for young students and even more confusing to read and comprehend. I realize it is written in the style of “tangled tale”, however the organization made the story very hard to read and understand. The plot presented was a little dark and very much modern fantasy, with dancing potatoes and a band of skeletons all present in the main character’s dream. The plot was not sequential or in any organized fashion, that even reading the book backwards made just as much sense as it did reading it forward. The language used was interesting but hard to read, as the author used paradoxes in every sentence to follow the structure of a “tangled tale”. The main message of this book is that we never know what is a dream and what is reality, and sometimes crazy things will happen to all of us. ( ) The book is about a girl who dreams she is at her funeral and she eats a potato after marrying him. However, her guests get upset and make her bring him back. She gets single from him. The story is very confusing but the pictures are amazing and imaginative. Children love creative and vivid illustrations. It is a good book to use for explaining opposites at a older age. The book is filled with things that do not make sense. It tell the tell of a girl who dreamed she was dead. She goes through this dream with a lot of things that do not make sense. She falls in love with a potato and they have a bald baby with hair. This book is a very funny interesting book. The pictures in the book are animated and real life pictures with a lot of color. The pictures have a lot going on in them. This book is like a nonsense book. Website: http://www.audreywood.com/mac_site/don_wood/b&e2/b&e2.htm aucune critique | ajouter une critique
A rhyming nonsense tale featuring a series of impossible occurrences, such as a bald-headed baby with hair hanging over its eyes and an egg-laying rooster. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
