I can relate to Susan's feeling of having to "prove" herself to the male ranchers, but I also agree that she takes risks she might not have to while doing it. I could picture the scene with the donkey and dog trying to save Susan from the pregnant mare and though it was a serious scene, it made me smile.

I liked that they tried to learn life lessons from the tragedies of losing people you loved.

Otherwise, the plot seemed the fairly standard boy meets girl/girl meets boy and they both feel attraction for each other but feel they can't love each other because of some flaw in themselves or in the other person.

I did not read the book about Seth and Melody (I'm assuming there is one) so I was a bit surprised to see this book is #1 in the Men of Mule Hollow Series. I'm guessing that was done to open up the series to more books than what the 3 brothers from the Turner Ranch would allow. ( )

This is the 1st book I have read by Debra Clopton. It was a great Read. Susan is working too hard and needs someone to help her take care of herself. While Cole is busy running from the pain in his past. They are perfect to even each other out. ( )

Susan Worth is a hard working Vet. As Vet she puts her patients before herself. This leading into her not sleeping, find love, and so on.

Then when a Cowboy ( Cole Turner ) came back to town, little did she know her life would change forever.
Cole Turner Comes back to Town to help out on his ranch. She hates Cole, the way he acts,specks you name it, she thinks she hates it.

Usual i would not be into books like this but this book I could not find myself putting down. I was wanting more as i read. The story line is great, set in a small town, when lots of Ranches are. Susan lives on the out skirts, She know almost everyone in town. and The characters are very much likable.

Also i learned in this book that God does what he sees best. It may have not been what you wanted to happen but God is the matchmaker in people life not people them self, sure you can show this person to other person but it is truly god who makes the match.

I really like this book a lot, I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a love story/life story. ( )
