One of the more enjoyable of the many West novels, for me. Plot more like a 20s-30s thriller than a modern mystery. Someone is killing off MPs on a specific committee, leading to a lot of chases, raids etc. ( )

This is my first book in the Inspector West series. It was recommended to me by an elderly woman who volunteers at a used bookstore in town. She said that if i enjoy Agatha Christie books I would probably like John Creasy.

I am not able to compare this book to John Creasey's other books but I can say that, Holiday for Inspector West, was not one I would compare to Agatha Christie's books.

John Creasey tells a good story with a surprise ending, but tells it in a simple manner. There wasn't a time when I put the book down and thought about when I would pick it up again. It sat on my bedside table and stayed there.

I am hoping to read the other books that I had purchase by him. ( )
