When Nancy finds that mysterious artifacts have been disappearing from the estate, she turns her suspicions to Harland Severino, a rich man who desperately wants to purchase it. In this graphic novel, Nancy Drew is in Istanbul, Turkey with her Dad and one of his clients. The book begins with a mysterious statue that is said to be haunted. Carson Drew purchases the statue for his client that really wants it. The mystery begins as the statue seems to live up to its reputation and begins moving on its own in the house. The story then moves on to a plaque that has been stolen by an employee of Carson's client. He returns the stolen item only to have it turn up missing again-stolen. He was originally trying to protect it by keeping it himself but do to a language barrier he was unable to communicate that information to Alda the client. The story comes together in the basement where the employees son is found hiding in the 'haunted' statue trying to protect the plaque and clear his Dad's name by capturing the group of men that are stealing it now. The novel is a bit hard to follow, but is to be continued (not sure if all graphic novels are like that).
