I like the writing style, it's easy to get into and pick up at any time, but it seemed to lack a bit of emotional depth, and the conclusion was somewhat flat. Overall it's a pleasant read and intriguing enough to keep you interested. ( ) aucune critique | ajouter une critique

The sea was a Mediterranean emerald, and all around us the heavy stillness of the summer's hot day was always there, as if everything about us in that beautiful bay would remain as it was forever. And there too, in front of me the creature from the sea, so perfect that I didn't want anything in my life ever to change. Beau, crippled and almost blinded by a terrible accident, is sent to recover in the South of France. Here, it is hoped, the clear blue sea and the influence of his indomitable Aunt Mimi will heal his damaged body and revive his spirit. When Lelee, the wild daughter of a Provencal smuggler, bursts from the sea, it becomes a summer of diving, glorious food, hidden treasure, smuggling and Jacques Cousteau. The summer of the girl from the sea. James Aldridge is a master storyteller and winner of many literary awards. In The Girl from the Seahe brings us a perfect jewel of a book for readers young and old. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
