Also, in the MacLean book it was difficult to figure out just HOW old the H&H were - there were vague references to the 1970s but she seemed to contradict herself a time or two which confused me more. I can only wonder if she had some sort of timeline in her head and couldn't keep it straight. Not an author I'll read again. (
