The new librarian Mrs. Roopy might be A.J.'s craziest teacher yet! Before class begins, they find her dressed first as President George Washington and then Little Miss Muffet. And Mrs. Roopy won't even admit that it's her! Can A.J. and his class help their very troubled librarian before she does something really wacky? The book, Mrs. Roopy is Loopy, is a hilarious realistic fiction. This was a story that kept me entertained and constantly laughing. In this story, Mrs. Roopy was the school librarian who dressed up as different characters or famous people based on what was being learned in school that day. She wanted to keep her students entertained and interested in what they were learning, without boring them about less interesting topics and content. She was very mysterious throughout because Mrs. Roopy did not tell her students it was her who was dressing up, but they later found the truth that it was Mrs. Roopy. George Washington was the first famous person she dressed up when learning about George Washington that day. The kids began to start loving her and were engaged in lessons, what she hoped for. I recommend this book to all kids who enjoy laughing as they read and enjoy reading funny books. There are also pictures throughout the story to help the readers better understand what is going on.
