Her stubbornness was fun and funny; his was rather annoying except when it was funny. Not bad, but not one of my favorite Davises. On rereading - I liked it better this time. The stubbornness didn't stand out as much - it's a misunderstanding trope, but not an extended one. They both screw up with each other in major ways - and the win/lose/win repeated theme towards the end gets weird (they have sex. Next morning - misunderstanding - he rejects her. A few days later, they talk, realize the misunderstanding - back together. Her father breaks them up. She's going to him - her father breaks them up more thoroughly. She runs away, hero finds her, they're sort of back together. Crisis - he leaves. There's a lot of plateaus before they get to their happy-ever-after…) ( ) aucune critique | ajouter une critique
