Savanah Gentry was a normal young woman that lived with her father to take care of him. She was a newspaper reporter. Her world turned upside down once she started dating Rane Cardova. This started spinning out of control when her father got killed and she descovered he was a vampire hunter. She wants to find out who killed her father very badly, and while investigating, she finds out Rane has a dark secret. He's a vampire. Savanah soon finds out htat she has to run for her life with the love of her life, Rane. While in hiding, they get close until they get discovered and have to fight against vampires and werewolves for their lives. With Savanah being a vampire hunter like her father, and Rane being a vampire, will it ever work out? Will the love brake or grow stronger? I really like this book. It makes you want to just keep reading. This book has love and action and it is thrilling enough to keep you locked into it. Casey The book Night’s Pleasure written by Amanda Ashley is an adult-themed romance novel that not only satiates the need for romance but also for action. Savanah’s father loved magic and growing up, she learned to love it too. It started with going to his first magic show when she was the tender age of nine years old. The Remarkable Renaldo was his name. His devilishly good looks not only made him eye candy but his amazing stunts such as levitating people and disappearing through wooden doors that had been inspected by members of the audience. Sixteen years later, Savanah is a reporter for the Chronicle a news paper where she works with her father, Will. After going out for drinks with the mysterious magician, she soon learns that his real name is Rane and that he is a shape-shifter. Her father’s warning does not cause her to stop her acquaintance with the gorgeous young man but instead makes the bond stronger, causing her to inadvertently spend less time with her father. One day after her usual outing with Rane, she enters her house and finds everything out of it’s place. After looking for her father, she stumbles upon him face down in the bathroom dead with two small puncture wounds on the inside of his arm. His last words were to find the envelope with the letter to her and that he loved her. Days later she remembers his message and is suddenly aware of a whole other world she thought was put to rest. Her mother was a vampire hunter, as was her father after his wife died. She also learns that her mother was killed by a vampire and that underneath the tree in the yard, her kit is buried with books on how to track and kill vampires and werewolves. There in the book, is a list of all known vampires and on the list she reads his name, Rane. Disgust and disbelief cross her mind as she realizes that the previous night she surrendered herself to him, body and soul. More action is included, but I figured this was long enough, besides, its just a taste of what comes next. Ronnie aucune critique | ajouter une critique

"I'm happy to say that NIGHT'S PLEASURE has been on the USA Today Bestseller list for the last two weeks, and is also on the BookScan Top 100 books. I was hoping to make the New York Times list, but, alas, it was not to be. Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to email me and tell me how much you enjoyed the book. I love this family, and hate to see the series end. Of course, there's still Mara's book, and maybe one more. At the moment, I'm hard at work on a sequel to a book I just finished. I love it so far, but then, I love them all while I'm writing them. It's only when I get the galley proofs that I start to have doubts...is it really as good as I thought? Will my readers like it? As I've said before, authors are notoriously insecure!"
My View:
Although this book is part of a series, I really found that it could be read alone. Savanah is a newspaper reporter who is forced into the world of vampire hunters after her father dies. Rane is a natural born vampire. For the past several decades he has been using his vampire abilities to earn his living as a small town magician. He first sees Savanah in his audience when she is a little girl. When she grows up and becomes a reporter, she decides she wants to interview Rane, who is now using a different name, but is still a magician. Rane has notice Savanah following his shows, but has refused to follow his attraction for her because he doesn't want to be involved with someone he desires so much. After Savanah corners him about an interview, Rane surprises Savanah and himself by asking her on date. She accepts and as the two explore their desire for each other they both are placed farther into danger. Now Rane has to battle against those that want to rid the world of vampires and save Savanah, as well.
I liked this book, as it doesn't try to hide the fact that vampires exist from the world. Amanda keeps the story moving for the most part, with some slow parts in the center and a fast paced ending. Vampire fans will enjoy this and the other stories in this series. ( )
