Little Tegan wants nothing more than for her Daddies to get back together for Christmas. For the two men who don't know how to mend fences, Santa's help is the little bit of Christmas magic they need. A story from the Dreamspinner Press 2008 Advent Calendar package "Christmas Dreams". I found myself caring so deeply for both of these men, and for the wonderful daughter they have raised. This is a beautiful story about family and love and second chances that I really enjoyed reading. - Enigmatically Emily Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Why Lenn cheated? Probably middle life crisis, probably habit led him think that what they had was too strong to be destroyed by a fling, maybe, even a little, Peter was neglecting Lenn and Lenn needed to be appreciated again. But Lenn is not searching excuses, he took upon himself all the guilt, and he moved out their home but not their life: for an year he played the role of the perfect divorced father, caring of their daughter and waiting without much hope that Peter will forgive him.
And Peter? he loved Lenn so much and he was deeply hurt, but he can't move on. He still thinks to Lenn to the man he wants to age with, his partner, and when their daughter asks to Santa Claus for their daddies to be together again, Peter understands that it's time to try to mend thing. I like that the reunion is not a rush, Peter and Lenn need to reacquaintance and to fix some rules, they need to accept some risks, since trust will not come back as easily and they can't wait for it to reborn between them if they are apart.
The story is medium long, 58 pages, but it's very nice, with two main characters who are real and so for this reason, nearer to the reader; I like also their life, ordinary and normal. Peter didn't take easily Lenn's bertrayal, but he knows that, for the love of their daughter, but also for himself, he have to forgive him.
