False Prophet is a strange book from beginning to end. It is a book that essentially delves into a dysfunctional family. Not a good detective book. It in a way mocks the police. This book is not recommended and therefore only received three stars. ( )

As he delves into Lilah's life, Peter discovers a complex and dysfunctional pattern of behaviour between Lilah's mother and her children. Revelation follows revelation until Peter and his partner Marge finally put all of the pieces together. It a compelling page-turner but somewhat ruined by a less-than satisfactory ending. ( )
