This book would be better for higher grade levels such as fourth and fifth grade because of the reading level difficulty. This would be a great science book to explain the process of photosynthesis because of all the pictures and labeling the book contains. You could also use this book for the lower grade levels if you were to do a lesson based on environments and how they can all differ.

This book would really beneficial to teach along side of a lesson regarding the life cycle of plants. This is an easy read to have 3rd or 4th graders read on their own in class. It lays out several examples of how plants and animals interact to benefit both parties. And goes into great detail about the processes that contribute to the plant's life cycle. Another use for this book would be discussing text features in a nonfiction book. This book contains a table of contents, an index, a glossary, and internet safety guide. Teaching students how to use these features would be very beneficial for future independent research assignments.

I would use this book for 4th or 5th grade because of the difficulty of the reading level. This book would be a good supplement for any lesson on the basics of photosynthesis because it has a lot of diagrams and detailed explanations that would help kids understand the process by using examples and supplemental texts. This book could also be used to explore different biomes because it has information about biomes across the world and the different flowers that could be found in each.

This is a great book to utilize when teaching about the plant life cycle. Teachers can utilize this text when talking about how flowers grow and reproduce. It could be used as a model text for in the classroom, or an independent text for students. It would be appropriate to utilize in a lower elementary school aged classroom. The book could be utilized when discussing various environments around the world and what type of flowers and other plants grow in each environment. The text can be used in the classroom as a guide for students to identify what specific flowers are in their own area environment.
